Sales Policy
Prices for kids reserved prior to being born are reflected in the Kidding Schedule. Prices for kids/goats already born will depend on individual. Multiple goat purchase discounts available ($25 off each additional goat after one is purchased). Purchased goats are healthy when they leave our farm. Kids will be disbudded, tattooed, wormed, and vaccinated and adults will have all current vaccinations and worming up to date. All weathers will be banded before leaving the farm.
A $50 deposit will hold a breeding/kid/adult of your choice ($25 deposit for wethers). We allow one week (7 days) for a deposit to arrive. If a deposit is not received during this time frame, the goat will be put back up for sale. If the breeding selected does not produce the kid desired, your deposit can be transferred to another breeding or kid of your choice or get a full refund. All kids need to be picked up within a reasonable amount of time (8 - 9 weeks of age) or a $1.00 per day, per goat boarding fee will apply. A deposit on an adult or weaned kid already born will hold the animal for three weeks after which a boarding fee may apply if pickup arrangements have not been made. If an animal is not picked up within 45 days (adult or weaned kid already born) or 12 weeks of age (kid reserved from breeding or prior to weaning), the goat(s) will remain the property of Elsberry Farms, and the deposit will not be refunded. Refunds on deposits are otherwise evaluated on the situation and reason. Deposits may be received as check. Payment in full is expected before any animal leaves the farm. Cash only is accepted if paying balance owed at time of pickup.
We guarantee fertility and will replace any infertile animal contingent upon receiving a veterinarians's statement that the infertility was genetic in origin and the animal received adequate care.
No guarantees are made concerning adult height for bucks or does.
No guarantees are made in regards to the confirmation or milk production of any goat sold which can both be influenced by living conditions and proper feeding.
No guarantees are made that a goat will not grow scurs.
We reserve the right to retain any goat.
We reserve the right to cancel any transaction for any reason we deem necessary. This can be done up until the Bill of Sale/Transfer is signed. Should we choose to cancel a contract, the full amount of any monies paid will be refunded.
All sales are final. Due to circumstances beyond our control, once a goat leaves the farm no refund is offered. No returns. No exceptions.
Registration Papers
Our Nigerians are registered with AGS, and some are dual registered with ADGA. All young kids will be registered with AGS by us unless otherwise stated. The AGS registration certificate and an ADGA application for registration will then be forwarded to the buyer. We do allow buyers to name kids on occasion. If you wish to name your kid, please notify us as soon as possible.
Transportation
All shippinge costs (transportation, health certificates, testing, crates, etc.) are the buyers responsibility. Depending on our circumstances, we may also be able to meet buyers for a base fee of $25.00 plus $.30 a mile round trip.
